The Bury/Bolton ME/CFS Support Group is aimed at supporting carers and sufferers from ME/CFS. There are an estimated 680 sufferers in Bolton and 460 in Bury, according to Action for ME national figures.
For the past few years or so, the group has been producing leaflets entitled "M.E....What Is It and Who Can Help."
In this, we explain what ME/cfs is, the symptoms, who it affects, what causes it, treatments, etc.
We hope, that by distributing these leaflets to all the libraries and some GP surgeries throughout Bolton & Bury and displaying posters advertising our group. We will educate the general public about this very real & serious illness, hoping to dispell common myths about it.
Hopefully, with increased public awareness and support, we can get better service provision off the NHS and better understanding off G.P's and others in the medical profession.
It costs about 2p per leaflet to produce. If you know any companies who would like to kindly sponsor leaflets, please contact us.
An example of the leaflet can be sent, as well as a receipt for your records. Cheques payable to Bury/Bolton ME/CFS Support Group please.
For any questions and details of where the cheque should be sent to, please email. The leaflets can have your business name, address, phone numbers, services offered, etc displayed on the leaflets. You will also get a mention in our newsletter and on this page.
As well as showing your company's community spirit it will hopefully generate you some extra business.
